Introduction |

By pioneering the Mt. Kumgang Tour and Development, Kaesong Industrial Park Project,
North Korean SOC Programs, inter-Korean Sports and Cultural Exchange, and other
programs relating to inter-Korean economic cooperaion, Hyundai Asan creates new
sources of revenue through new business models. Such efforts further promote mutual
benefit and trust, which in turn promote reconciliation and mutual prosperity.

| Development Plan for Mt.Kumgang Tour Resort |
With the maiden voyage of the Kumgang Cruise ship into the North's
sea on November 18, 1998, the commencement of the Mt. Kumgang
Tour marked a historical union after a half a century of separation,
and opened a sluice gate of large scale inter-Korean exchange of
people and materials. Further develop ment plans have been
formulated to develop various tourism courses in Naegeumgang,
Chongsukjung, and Myungsasipri. Also the Mt. Baekdoo tour will be
expanded to include the course through Wonsan to Mt. Seolak -
Mt. Kungang - Pyungyang - Mt. Myohyang - Mt. Chilbo. The area will
be developed as an ecological tourism site in cooperation with
domestic and international environmental organizations using
advanced technology.

| Kaesong Industrial Park Project |
A premiere industrial complex development company has drawn up
comprehensive development plansfor a 20 million Pyung area
Kesong Industrial Complex. With factories, logistics centers,
commercial areas, and an environmental friendly complex
developed by utilizing cutting-edge technology. This coupled
with the Kesong Tourism Site that preserves the 500 year long
history and culture of the ancient kingdom of Koryo, tt will rapidly
become an economic hub connecting various East Asian areas.

| Social Overhead Capital(SOC) Project |
With the signing of the contract for economic cooperation with the
North's Asia Pacific Civil Economic Association in August 2000,
Hyundai Asan received the business rights for large scale SOC
including railway, communication, power generation, damming, LNG
supply, air ports, and development of major tourism sites.
