Hyundai Elevator Wins Third Award at iF Design Award

2022-04-13
- “Clean Tech Fixtures” applies non-contact motion sensor hall buttons and air sanitizing functions
- Two items win the iF Award, including the “Modular Hall Fixtures”, which allow easy combinations for hall electric panels

Hyundai Elevator (CEO Cho Jae-cheon) won two main awards at the 2022 iF Design Awards held in Germany, one of the world’s three biggest design awards. The “Clean Tech Fixtures” and “Modular Hall Fixtures” yielded the award. It is their third win at the awards, following the iF Design Award in 2012 and the iF Desgin Award Gold in 2017.

Clean Tech Fixtures is a design that meets the heightened spatial hygienic demands since the outbreak of COVID-19. The hall button senses movement and allows to call the elevator without contact. It is designed to harmonize with various construction interior designs. The indicator inside the elevator uses an air sanitizer that uses HEPA filters and sanitization liquids to remove bacteria and viruses.

The Modular Hall Fixtures prioritizes the customer’s design selection preference. Buttons, key boxes, lanterns, and non-contact sensors are built as modules in the hall’s electric panels. They can be mixed and matched vertically and horizontally according the customer’s taste. Button materials offer metal and plastic as well as various colors and patterns to combine with different construction finishes.
