Hyundai Elevator Rolls Out “Clean Moving Solution” for Elevators

2020-10-05
- Offers an Untact Solution with “H-Mobile-Thru” to Call Elevators and Select Destination Floor Using Smartphones
- Showcases a Motion Call Button for Hand Gesture Sensing and an Air Purifier that Mitigates Fine Dust up to 78%

On the 5th, Hyundai Elevator (CEO Song Seung-bong) announced the release of its “Clean Moving Solution” designed to minimize physical contact in and in front of the elevator to contain spread of harmful contaminants.

The most notable feature is the “H-mobile Thru” applied with Bluetooth tagging technology. The solution, inspired by the famous “Walk-thru” virus screening system, enables anyone to call an elevator and select the floor they wish to go to without having to make physical contact, thanks to a dedicated smartphone app and a tagging system that comes along with it. Another notable feature introduced was the “Motion Call Button,” which activates to call the elevator with motion sensors that detect the hand gestures of passengers.

In addition, HEPA filtration technology has been used in the solution for effective control and maintenance of air quality within the elevator. The HEPA filter has been proven effective in the internal experiment in mitigating fine dust concentration as much as 78% in its full capacity. This powerful filter has been applied to heaters and air coolers that automatically maintain the right temperature with its temperature monitoring system, as well as anionic air purifiers for real-time monitoring of air quality.

The “Clean Moving Solution” comes with various other impressive features. You can use the “Touchless Button” to register the floor you wish to go without touching anything in the elevator. The “Touchless Foot Button” is there for you to call the elevator with your feet instead of your hands. The “Anti-viral Rail” and the “UV Handrail Disinfectant” for the escalator have been included as part of the solution as well.

“In the face of the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, consumers have become increasingly interested in untact technology, especially for public installations such as elevators and escalators,” said a Hyundai Elevator insider. “We are considering to release a new product put together with our key technologies to deliver a smarter and safer experience for our clients,” he added.
