Hyundai Elevator (CEO Song Seung-bong) made the decision to provide flood relief supplies worth of KRW 150 million to the flood victims of Chungju-si, who are currently suffering from heavy damage due to the recent torrential downpour. The company plans to deliver customized supplies such as home appliances of daily life to the flood victims suffering from house damage.

On the 13th, Hyundai Elevator’s employee volunteer group visited the flood-affected areas in Chungju-si and carried out flood recovery activities, such as cleaning soil sediments and damaged trees that had been washed away by a landslide.

CEO Song Seung-bong said that he hopes these supplies will “help the victims of the Chungju area who are suffering from damages due to the unprecedented rain overcome the pain caused by the flood,” and that Hyundai Elevator will “do its best to provide assistance for damage recovery.”

Meanwhile, Cho Gil-hyung, the Mayor of Chungju, said that he is “grateful for Hyundai Elevator for providing relief supplies despite the difficult conditions due to the prolonged COVID-19 epidemic,” and that he will “do his best to help recover the damages so that citizens can return to their daily lives.”

Last July, Hyundai Elevator began the construction of a new factory in the Fifth Industrial Complex of Chungju-si and is planning to relocate its headquarters by the year 2022.
